Our family got to have an amazing day out on the water fishing in Pedasi! Leaving out of Playa Arenal was interesting and exciting to see the panjas launching and later coming in with their hauls for the day. Feeling the wind in my hair and the sun breaking through the clouds made for a beautiful day on the water. My brother-in-law, Matt, was excited about the El Dorado (otherwise known as Mahi Mahi) that he had reeled in. My sister, Jamie, was also able to bring in an El Dorado herself, though hers was smaller.
While my highlight was being out on the open seas, experiencing the "Tuna Coast" for myself, I believe Matt's favorite part may have been feeding the homemade breaded fish sticks to my nieces. They really enjoyed them until they were told that they were actually not eating chicken. Matt is still determined to get them to enjoy fish and I think that they are on their way! Another cool thing was that Smiley's Restaurant was willing to take Matt's fish and make him a custom fish dinner for him for our last night in Pedasi!
