It is hard not to go a little crazy over Pedasi's own, Coucou Crazy. This Belgium-style brewery, which also is a coffee/waffle house is the vision come to life of Dennis Paesmans. Dennis left his career as a lawyer in Belgium due to chase the wind literally--as he wanted to windsurf locally and dreamed of starting his business in Pedasi. Coucou Crazy is located on 3 acres and Dennis serves his goods out of a shipping crate that has been carefully designed. His open air cafe seating has also been thoughtfully designed to create a cool space to spend time in Pedasi.
Dennis' true art comes through with his Belgium-style beers. He stated that he serves high-alcohol percentage peers often with tropical fruit, noting that his current offerings included a beer with a 9.2% alcohol content. Dennis has unique offerings as we was serving a mango and pepper beer upon our last trip to Pedasi. Dennis also roasts his own coffee on site and soon with produce his own coffee as well. This is all in addition to serving Belgium waffles and cakes!
